peonies, coffee and nude shoes

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. We are in charge of our Attitudes.”
-Charles R. Swindoll-

high heels

Today I came across an article by Neal Blitz about ‘high heel hangovers’; the article, quite insightful and helpful was a nice read. It was however, some of the comments below that were very funny. One of them….and I quote (no…I was not the one who wrote this) “I wear stilettos or high heels just about everyday, if they hurt that means the style or size is not right for me” (I do agree of course, if it hurts it means it is just not styled correctly) (or maybe we just keep repeating this to convince ourselves that there is absolutely nothing wrong with a pair of wonderfully sexy (red-soled) high heels). And, if by chance you are at least willing to admit to yourself that your feet hurt beyond belief, that a rest might indeed be a good idea and that there is a part of your wardrobe that looks awesome with ballerinas……read the article by Neal.

a bit of packing

As the hours pass and the time arrives to have everything packed and ready for my short weekend break in the big apple, I contemplate the last items to bring along.
(of course my wonderful Louboutins are included....no trip the same without them)

ballerinas

After a week and a half of wearing all my lovely ballerina flats to work, I am happy that starting Monday things will be completely back to normal and I can wear my beloved high heels again. Though, the flats did add a touch of sweetness to most of my dresses, I am still convinced that the heels give something no other type of shoe can.

If the detailed shot of this wonderful calf hair red Louboutin pump does not immediately take your attention, then surely the first sentence of this article will: " Shoes are the exclamation marks of a women's wardrobe, the punctuation point from which you read the grammar of her body". I am enjoying every word of this article in the comfort of my bed (after having worn wonderful high heels all day), drinking a warm cup of English tea, while reading my newly received English magazine and dreaming of French shoes.

Hope you are having an equally diversified evening.
