one of those days

It is one of those days that I would so enjoy just relaxing with a magazine on a lazy day-bed surrounded by flowers, sunshine and a light breeze.

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities"

the art of doing nothing

I have a few days off and actually from the very first day I was a bit dazed about the idea of “what to do” and actually constantly looking for something either fun or productive.  Then suddenly today it hit me; when I am working (in the office) or my days are packed I long for the afternoons I can just be lazy and be doing nothing (doing nothing of course being something like reading or taking (extra long) mid day naps). I can just do nothing for a few days, before I know it I will be back at work and I am sure that at a certain point I will just want an afternoon like I am having now ( which is lying in my bed, with the airco on, reading and working on my blog….mind you its 3.34pm…..splendid!).

pamper yourself

Some weekends are made for pampering, for continuous loveliness and for flowers.
I have realized that somehow I lost these laid-back weekends. That between work, study, wonderful lunches, errands and inevitable laundry, time simply did not stand still long enough for a little self indulgence.
Thus, this month I think I will make a little extra effort to schedule a massage, a pedicure, a haircut and maybe even a long lazy afternoon.
