The connection between The Netherlands and New York is of epic proportion and it is still interesting to see the Dutch elements in the City that link back to the time when New York was New Amsterdam. Whether you are in lower Manhattan and see the statues with Dutch names and explanations or are wandering about in Brooklyn (Breukelen ) or Harlem (Haarlem), the Dutch roots of this area are to be found and appreciated.
And so you can imagine my the smile on my face when I found out about the Dutch Flower Line in NYC, a flower wholesaler. The combination of quite a few elements close to my heart is always a moment of sheer happiness.
