Yep, it's only Thursday, but I am already looking forward to the weekend and heading to the beach. 
It is always so relaxing and beautiful to be out on the ocean, surrounded  by so much blue. 
The water is such a nice temperature this time of year, it's summer and the kids are playing in the sand and on the slides. 
Island living - this is definitely one of the perks of living in Curacao.

Early summer in Europe....what to pack? 
Sure, there will be my ballerina's for city explorations, nude pumps to combine with cocktails, jeans and the "oh-so-reliable" trench.......(looking for more space in my luggage), but what else?
A better idea would be to pack the bare essentials and shop for everything else (not sure my credit card would appreciate this one). Looking forward to Hamburg next week.

The summer vacation is officially underway, and though I am not leaving on a jet-plane this season, I am very happy for all you who are lounging away on the beaches of the Mediterranean, flying around the world and skiing down the Andes Mountains. Enjoy every second.

Though airport security and 14 hour economy flights have pushed us to dress as comfortably as possible to ensure some type of relaxing travel I still long for the day that traveling will become as chic as it once was. To cross the world with luggage trunks filled with long evening dresses, chic sea side attire and beautiful hats; how lovely that would be (yes….for those of you who haven’t noticed; I live a bit in a fantasy world of travel….)

It's hot! The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the temperature is up. It is summer and really all I would like to be doing is enjoying the beach and the beautiful turquoise ocean. (Ok, I am a fortunate in this way already, as twice a week I get to do this........hmmmm all year round.....(my apologies for the people in Europe.....we can't have it all; and though leaving behind the summer festivals, the weekend trips to the Cote d' Azure and H&M is certainly not easy..... all the weekends spent on the boat savoring the Caribbean sun surely makes up for the fabulous summers in Europe. Where ever you might be this summer, just make sure to look chic while in Sardinia, add loads of sun-block while in Curacao, party the night away in Ibiza and when in France have some macaroons with champagne.
