Mathias Dahlgren, stockholm
In June, after a sunny day of strolling through Stockholm, we made our way to the much talked about restaurant of Mathias Dahlgren. We opted for the Food Bar - the more casual version of the two.
The food, simply amazing. Each bite is filled with an immense combination of tastes and surprises. The service, friendly and knowledgeable. The details, everywhere which make the whole experience increasingly better. I highly recommend the Food Bar for when you are in Stockholm next.
"Our cuisine is based on using the best fresh produce available here and now in Sweden and other parts of the world, spiced with curiosity and inspiration from everything we encounter" http://www.mathiasdahlgren.com
If you are opting not to stay in the Medina while visiting the enchanting city of Marrakesh - or you stay a few extra days to relax outside the city walls once you've enjoyed the intricate souk then there is the sanctuary that is Amanjena.
Amanjena (peaceful paradise) is the first Aman resort on the African continent and is located just outside the ancient city of Marrakech. Set within an oasis of palms and olive trees, Moorish heritage is reflected throughout the pisé-walled resort, including the Morocco luxury villas and pavilions that radiate out from an ancient bassin, echoing the style of a sultan’s palace. www.amanresorts.com
This summer while in Hamburg my dear friend introduced me to Jellyfish. A simple, modern looking exquisite fish restaurant in the impressive city of Hamburg.
The food is something else. The details with each dish open you to a new world with every bite.
"Jellyfish upports certified sustainable seafood.
Our chefs work solely with wild or line fished catch and products from
certified aquacultures" www.jellyfish-restaurant.de
Located in the heart of Amsterdam’s museum district (Museumplein) on Van Baerlestraat, the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam is close to The Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Royal Concertgebouw. Enjoy all the art and culture Amsterdam has to offer and then come back to the hotel and enjoy their splendid restaurant.
I have been lucky enough to have lunch here with friends a few times. Each was a delight. Good food, good services and of course an impressive surrounding.
Amsterdam is a great city to explore, either walking or on your uber cool rented bike. The canals and tiny streets with interesting shops will keep you busy all day.
