borough market

Photos from own collection

It was a (relatively) cool Friday morning in London when we arrived at Borough Market.
Before we knew it we had some proseco, paella, oysters and sweets. Most stands will offer you a taste of what they have to offer.....and...if you are travelling, most will have a solution for packaging.
A buzzing place, with friendly people and delicious food.
If you are in London between Thursday and Saturday I highly recommend you take an hour or two to enjoy this market. (the Paella is splendid).

It is Wednesday, and I am happy to note I have the afternoon off and will be heading to the boat with my friends later on today. There is nothing like a mid-week dip in the clear turquoise  ocean of the Caribbean.
Have a beautiful day, wherever it is that you are today.
Smile loads.

In September my mom, grandma and I will make our way over the pond to Amsterdam to welcome a new member of our family to the world. So exciting. She will be a few weeks old then and it seems like the perfect time to meet her.

Of course in all of this I am happy to visit Amsterdam again, I haven't been there in two years. This is a place I called home for six years, where I met my amazing friends, where I fell in love with tulips and where I oddly enough never owned a bike (really, I have no idea how I managed that).

Amsterdam is a beauty of a city (especially when the sun is shining). The canals, the flower shops and parks make it the picturesque destination many travelers love. This city is filled with history, art and cozy cafes. With secret rooftop terraces, hidden gardens and wonderful Saturday markets.

I am sure it will be splendid, once again.

On Thursday I will joining my parents for a long weekend of shopping and fun in Miami.
Last year as part of our world trip we spent a night there at the lovely Colony Hotel on Collins Avenue to enjoy some of the art-deco style of South Beach.
This year Biscayne Boulevard will be the address. (Though I am sure we won't be spending much time in the hotel). I hope to bring you back some chic images of the sunny and fun destination.
