penny ice creamery
I love Kinfolk magazine. It is so clean, so honest and it has such great stories. Their website offers some awesome pieces as well. One that stands out is written by Jordan Hernandez and the photographs are by James Fitzgerald III about Penny Ice Creamery.
hello monday
Good morning and welcome to another exquisite week. Yesterday my parents arrived back from the Netherlands and brought me a stack of intriguing, interesting and a quite different range of magazine publications. And thus this week I will be enjoying the likes of "too much", "anthology", "scenario" and "cereal".
And some graphic napkins to fit our new Nordic look at the house.
Have a great week, smile loads and reading interesting and different stuff. Now that I have my weekly dose of the Monocle produced podcast "the stack" a world of new publications and angles of magazine writing is opening up to me. And I'm lovin it.
Thanks for visiting.
xx

kinfolk
Yesterday morning while listening to Monocle24: The Stack on my way to work I was introduced to Kinfolk magazine. As I am one to usually note (while at a traffic light) and subsequently search for (while back at home) all the interesting new things I hear about during the multitude of pod-casts I listen to in the car.
Kinfolk magazine is a quarterly, 144-page, ad-free print magazine that collects ideas from a growing international community of artists, writers, designers, photographers, cooks and others who are interested in creating small gatherings and finding new things to make and do. http://www.kinfolk.com
The following are images from Kinfolk.
Each issue is filled with lush photography, lyrical essays, recipes, interviews, profiles, personal stories and practical tips along with a keen attention to design and details.
Kinfolk appeals to a young, photography-intensive audience full of artists and food enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for a new cooking skill, road trip route or camping guide, Kinfolk is a blueprint for a balanced, intentional lifestyle.
