What a dream it would be to look this chic for travel.

It's an early cool Monday morning on the island.The neighbourhood is still quiet and slowly but surely the birds are waking up. There is serenity to these mornings, one that, for the coming week, I shall miss. 
My bags are packed and I am ready for my trip. First an exam in Miami, and then all fun in New York.
I enjoy travel, completely, wholly; it part of who I am and something I hope to be doing for a very long time. The weeks (or months) of planning, the excitement the evening before and the memories that will stay with you forever.

Well, it is quite lovely (and relieving) to know that today I will be finally handing-in my thesis. (yippie.....I'd like to scream it from the top of my lungs). I must say, that it was quite some work (more than I had anticipated....and I seriously believe I read more these last few months than ever before). However.....lets get to the important part of this post. Considering that all will go well, I will graduate soon. Lucky us, the graduation is in New York (I know....its amazing...and really it was one of the main reasons for actually doing the masters degree......just kidding). In any case, end of the month I will be happily flying to the big apple for some much needed city time. This is the first year (in well....a long time) that I have not visited New York and so I am extremely excited (I really think the streets of Soho have missed me.....(really my fantasy abilities astound even me).

If you have any "must-do" things like amazing stationary shops, a beautiful fabric shops (I love to have my clothes made) and the best place to find some gorgeous vintage pieces, delicious restaurants or great clubs/bars, do let me know.

Good morning and welcome to another wonderful edition of ever so exciting 'Monday'.
After a lovely weekend, with bitterballen and Louboutins on Friday, airport pick-up, Vogue magazines and orange ballerina's (yes! I finally have them) on Saturday and a champange Sunday with family and friends on the boat, it is only natural that Monday is good as well! :)

Summer is officially almost over. Autumn starts in about four days (not that we notice much of this in Curacao.....usually), but today as it drizzled when I got into my car and I was (quite) surprised to see that the thermostat said it was 25 degrees (my apologies for those living in colder climates, for those who live on the island know that 25 degrees is actually quite "chilly" ..... I know...it's just not fair). I hope you had a lovely weekend as well. Mine was filled with the quintessential afternoons at the beach, pancakes, bbq hamburgers and champagne at sundown.
