kinfolk

Kinfolk magazine is slowly creeping into my life and becoming one of my favourite quarterly reads. It takes its time to make its way to Curacao - often surprising me when it arrives and given to me in funny and wonderful ways. Luckily they have a splendid website, filled with stories taking you to exquisite destinations with subtle details that make each piece unique. The photographs are clean and sophisticated. The recipes simply delicious.

Her ballad is lonely and remote. Like all whale songs, it has an otherworldly quality. Anthropomorphize this beast and she is a woeful old soul, a victim of unrequited love, nostalgic and brave and wailing in the deep.
