There is no real winter in the Caribbean. At least not in the way the Northern countries experience winter; the snow, the rain, the storms, the short days and the hot chocolate, the cashmere sweaters and the cozy evening by the fire place. But today, there is a winter-esk feel to the weather here. It is cloudy, rainy and dark. I have my coffee to keep me warm and with our neighborhoods putting up their Holiday lights already I can feel the season starting off.

Tonight we'll be joining the cooking class by Spice Girl. Learning how to cook with Caribbean ingredients - all with a modern twist. I am looking forward to it. Next week there is another class, so if you have some time and want get your creative juices flowing, make sure you sign up.
Spice Girl is also featured in Curacao: Banda Ariba.

It's Friday! Ready for some busy days during the weekend. The first part of my trip was to Aruba and so, to celebrate Friday I'd like to share some pictures we took of this happy island with you.
Have an exquisite weekend.

caribbean sun
While here in Aruba I thought I'd share some lovely summer images. Sharing a bit of the sun, blue skies and colours all around us. It is truly a relaxing time and Aruba is quite wonderful for this.
These are a few beautiful images from Dustjacket Attic.
one happy island
We are enjoying some time in Aruba - a precious 10 day vacation for relaxation, carnival and reading. We'll be enjoying loads of time on the ocean, soaking in the blue skies and crystal waters. Exploring a bit, meeting family and friends and just rejuvenating
