Yesterday we saw the movie "Mr. Turner", about British painter J.M.W. Turner. A lovely movie. His paintings are masterpieces. Below is one of Venice.
Turner enjoys a reputation as one of the finest and most original landscape painters in English history and Turner's style laid the foundations for Impressionism. Venice was the inspiration for some of Turner's greatest works including this painting entitled “The Grand Canal, Venice” below, painted in 1835. (Oil on canvas, 36 by 48 inches; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York)

Yesterday the 10th annual ride, walk and swim for the roses took place in Curacao. I believe about 8000 people participated - which, for a tiny island, is something quite impressive. So it is a great way to start the week - energized, positive and hmmm with a bit of muscle ache.
